We are active members of three important national and international associations that operate in the shopping centre sector and in the field of corporate social responsibility.
The National Council of Shopping Centers (CNCC) is an association that brings together, in a single entity, all the stakeholders, such as properties, service companies ad selected retailers, connected to the shopping centre, retail park and factory outlets industry, constituting the only representative reality of the sector. There are over 1,200 shopping centers throughout the country which, with their 36,000 shops, register 2 billion annual presences. Particularly important is the total turnover of the commercial industry which, with its 139.1 billion euros, has an incidence on the Italian GDP equal to 4%. From an employment point of view, shopping centers alone employ over 587,000 people, without considering the related industries they generate.
IGD has been a member of this association since 2007 and it is actively involved in its activities by holding various roles in the bodies of the association itself. Furthermore, starting from October 2020, Roberto Zoia, IGD’s Director of Assets, Development and Network Management, was appointed Chairman of the association.
Further information can be found on the CNCC website.
In 2021, IGD’s CEO, Claudio Albertini, was appointed as memeber of the Nominations Committee of the association and Francesco Soldi, Head of marketing and CSR, took the role of Chairman of the ESG Commission, both representing CNCC (Consiglio Nazionale dei Centri Commerciali).

Impronta Etica is a non-profit association that was founded in 2001 to promote and develop sustainability and corporate social responsibility (CSR). Its mission is to promote processes aimed at sustainability in Italy and Europe, encouraging its members to transform their endeavours for innovation into leadership experiences regarding sustainable competitiveness. Furthermore, it acts in such a way as to create a network for its member companies and with similar national institutions, and to promote their active participation in international networks that deal with sustainability and CSR. The association is also committed to strengthening the presence of Italy at European level: for this reason it became a partner of the European network, CSR Europe.
IGD has been a member of Impronta Etica since 2011 and it actively participates in its activities, its work groups and the projects it promotes.
In cooperation with the association, in 2020 we gave lectures on our experience regarding its sustainability process, in the Universities of Bologna, Forlì and Cattolica University in Milan.

Participating in strict international external benchmarks that analyse our performance helps us to monitor and assess our progress. Furthermore, it provides our stakeholders with assurance that we are transforming our commitment and targets into actions and it highlights our ambition to be a leader in sustainability in our sector.
Carbon Disclosure Project is the non-profit international organisation that promotes in-depth and transparent disclosure by companies of the data regarding their environmental impact and use of natural resources.
CDP provides a system that is used on a global level to measure, disclose and manage the collection of such critical data: this enables, therefore, the member companies to compare in a systematic way their performance and monitor the evolution of their performance over time, encouraging them to undertake policies to reduce the environmental impact of their activities and to make proper use of natural resources.
In the 2020 Carbon Disclosure Project IGD obtained an overall score level C (in a range from A to D).
