Our 2030 ambitions

In the new 2022-2024 Business Plan, we decided to structure the Planning activities by defining quantitative targets for the 2022-2024 period and by identifing strategic targets (so-called “Ambitions”) with a timeframe up to 2030, to clearly lay out the long-term directions we intend to take and our priorities. Thus we identified 22 ambitions that represent the guidelines which we will work on so as to make our contribution to the sustainable development strategies defined by the United Nations with the Sustainable Development Goals.

Our Sustainable Development Goals

The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs, or Global goals) were included in the United Nations’ 2030 Agenda in 2015. They are a set of 17 goals and 169 sub-goals which aim to put an end to poverty, fight against inequality and promote economic and social development. A universal plan of action which requires commitment from everybody, including companies, which are called upon to add their own contribution by means of new responsible business models, investments, innovation, technological development and the establishment of multi-stakeholder cooperation.

IGD, following the guidelines of Global Compact Network Italy, identified 10 SDGs which were relevant to its business and which were connected to the material issues identified by the Company. These references were not only our guide in defining the 2030 Ambitions defined in the 2022-2024 Business Plan, but are also an integral part of the Sustainability Report, in which we report on the results achieved on each of them.
