Leasing Internship

Role description

The internship provides the opportunity to understand and support leasing activities (marketing of the shopping center spaces), with the constant support of a tutor, a “Senior Leasor”, through training and experience in the following areas:

 

• Understanding the company and the reference shopping center market in Italy and abroad;
• Shopping center basics: management, marketing and communications;
• How the commercial division works: activities and goals;
• Catchment Area Analysis of IGD’s shopping centers and its main competitors;
• Analysis and creation of a shopping center’s merchandising mix;
• Study of freehold and leasehold mall mapping;
• Analysis and implementation of the tenant contact data base;
• Contract basics and techniques;
• In depth analysis of economic offers and contract elements;
• Reports used in the Commercial Division’s principle activities;
• Analysis of tenant and shopping center performances;
• Support of the marketing activities:
  1. Scouting new tenants;
  2. Research of new trends;
  3. Initial contacts;
  4. Sending economic offers;
  5. Preparation of documentation relative to operations.

 

Skills required

• Undergraduate degree in Economics;
• English;
• Excellent understanding of MS Office (Power Point, Excel, Word);
• Aptitude for data analysis and reporting;
• Interest in “retail”, particularly in innovation and new trends;
• Good teamworking skills and determination.
