Our centers provide the settings and stages for a wide range of events

The “IGD Shopping Center Ecosystem” caters to visitors to our centers by providing shopping experiences, services, dining, and entertainment options, thanks to events and initiatives designed to increase loyalty and intensify interaction with the local area and community.

Events are the most significant meet-up opportunities in shopping centers and allow for interaction with diverse target audiences, significantly increasing the centers’ attraction within the primary catchment area and beyond. The choice of event mix varies depending on the structure’s positioning in terms of the local and competitive context and changes over time to respond to current entertainment trends.

We are committed to organizing free events of various kinds every day, focusing on commercial, environmental, artistic, recreational/sporting, solidarity, or local issues.

The guidelines for event planning are based on the following strategic criteria:

  1. Attracting a significant number of people to the mall through events that engage and retain visitors, encouraging them to return;
  1. Promoting omnichannel by expanding drive-to-store initiatives, harnessing digital technologies to encourage visitors to experience the shopping center both online and offline;
  2. Partnering with Mall tenants to deliver experiences that place visitors at the center of all activities, from shopping to events;
  3. Engaging the local community in the organization of events by working with local associations and non-profit organizations;
  4. Paying attention to socio-environmental issues when planning events that deal with issues such as energy efficiency, water saving, or gender equality.

Events that drive traffic and engagement

To turn every visit into a unique experience, we provide a schedule of varied and engaging events, designed to attract diverse audiences throughout the year. Our initiatives are designed to increase footfall within the centers and encourage the visitors’ active participation.

Main types of events

Social events

such as meet & greet sessions with artists, talents, and creators, which bring the public closer to their favourites and create moments of authentic sharing

Family-oriented activities

featuring character meet & greet, themed exhibitions and creative workshops designed for the little ones

Immersive experiences

such as escape rooms, virtual reality shows, and interactive installations, which transform retail spaces into experiential entertainment venues

Locally, we also partner with associations, schools, cultural and sports organizations and operators to organize community-building events that capture the spirit and energy of each local area:

  • Sports events, various art exhibitions, dance, and music recitals;
  • Prevention and awareness-raising activities in the healthcare sector, together with local associations and organizations;
  • Food and wine festivals and show cooking, showcasing typical products and regional excellence;
  • Talent shows, cultural presentations, and workshops combining creativity, culture, and entertainment.

You Bridge: a new collaboration project with tenants

Partnering with tenants has resulted in the launch of a new project that combines online and in-person experiences, called “You Bridge.” The pre-show of some of the events organized in our centers can thus serve as an opportunity to promote our stores, offering the waiting audiences discounts, freebies, and prize games and engaging them in enjoyable live interactions.
